Default LED headlight bulbs (9005) for RX330

Anyone come up with a good LED solution for the 9005 headlight DRLs/high beams? Hate my yellow originals and have had Sylvania Silvertars on various vehicles before they hardly last would prefer LED's

I want to pay zero, but could pay up to $100 if they look and function better than stock... just looking for bulbs not entire light replacements. Did several serches hard to believe this hasn't been covered repeatedly over the years.

LED bulbs have been covered a fair bit on this forum. Check out this spreadsheet:

I'm running Auxbeam in my Highlander but they are out of your price range.

Thank you so much Lex that spreadsheet is very helpful. I tried ordering Auxlto from Amazon but the connector had a small tab that didn't allow it to fit my car this chart will help a ton. Are you happy with your set-up? Silverstars were nice in other cars but they would die in one years time at $50 for two.

I have nothing bad to say about Auxbeam and a bonus they've been reliable. I don't recommend Luxster Punisher the beam pattern isn't great but it may depend on bulb type and headlight you happen to have in my case H11 bulb.

From what I've read it seems in our cars the beam pattern isn't good for LEDS... maybe I'll just opt for whiter Sylvanias that are not Silverstars... I like the beam on my bulbs always prefer LED's when I can switch over... alright thanks again for your time and work here

I've put LEDs into about 5 different cars that originally came with halogens. I get it, the purists are convinced I'm blinding everyone.

I have the regular xenons as the regular low beam lights the DRL/highbeams are original and very brownish colored would like to upgrade them (9005 bulbs)...Wanted to go with LEDs for power consumption and color but decent ones are very expenseive even then not sure they give a proper beam pattern... unelss designed from the onset many LEDs are blinding and do not give the proper focused pattern. Lex may have a decent pair but for the cost I'll likely stick with regular halogen bulbs just not Silverstar's as I've had those in several cars'bikes they blow in about a years time.

Thanks Lex or all your input here

I misread the post / didn't read most of your original post i'll admit. I've seen mixed levels of success in people replacing halogens w/ LED's but they are usually blinding. i'd just get a fresh set of halogens and call it a day. they do get dim over time.

I haven't tried LED 9005 because here in Canada we have DRLs on these which I have always seen flicker when run in 6v on DRL mode. I run OSRAM HIR 9011 bulbs for my high beam / DRL. They are very bright and work perfectly as a DRL too.

You know what would be even better?
if someone could cleanly (minimal wiring) set fog lights as DRLs and not the high beams.
I like DRL for safety reasons (not required in US), but the high beam location makes the car look "old."

I've converted several of my old school Toyota's to use the turn signal bulbs (in bumper) into a switchback arrangement: DRL and of course signal. I made a custom circuit to do this there isn't anything off the shelf that I could find. And you're right the fogs on the RX would be perfect for this.
