Hello,

The whole back side my 2008 RX350 has no running lights.
The brake lights work great when depressed. The turn signals work great when engaged. In reverse, the reverse lights turn on.

However, there is no license plate illumination, tailgate 'running lights', or bumper lights on.

This occurred after I did a car wash.

ANY IDEAS?

My guess is a grounding issue with the rear or tailgate harness? The lights worked perfect when I left the house to go to the car wash, have not had them work since.

Check tail relay first and the ground next. Tail relay is the same as FR fog relay, you can try to swap each other to see if that works

 

I think we may have a bingo because the fog lights stopped working as well! I'll check it out tomorrow.

 

I was not able to locate that relay box, where is it?

It was the fuse, easily replaced and everything back working now.
