Default This was fun (persistent water leak)

2005 RX 330. Inches of water in the rear seat footwells, spreading to the front. Hard winter rains made us have to dig into the source. it was the roof luggage rail gaskets. Actually collecting under the cargo area, then draining downhill into the passenger area. This was tedious to diagnose and not due to the sunroof or rear hatch weld areas like most suspect. I post this up in case it helps someone in the future.

It took about three days with a commercial blower running full time (not pictured) to get the carpet and foam dry enough to re-install.

Fun times (not):

Just used silicone sealant w/the existing gaskets. Worked just find and likely better than new gaskets over the long-term.

LoL, I would like to claim that as my genious, but fair play, that was my dad.

I do have a big commercial carpet dryer; sat that up at the bottom and drying it all out did not take that long. Maybe two days total which was not bad considering the material and how soaked it was. If you ever see one of these cheap on CL or somewhere, they come in VERY handy once every few years. Mine is much older and maybe slightly larger, but boy do they help when you need them.
