Angry EVAP canister replacement

The heat shield rusted off a day ago, and now the EVAP canister has melted. Is there a write-up somewhere? I haven't even attempted to look at the job. Also, my VSC is disabled because of emissions issue. Very dumb design.

IDK if theres a write up as you mentioned. But as you see the evap canister is above the main muffler, so you'll need to drop the exhaust to get to the canister. Possibly you could fab up a sheild for the canister.....Have no idea why Toyota tied the vsc to the MIL......
