2007 rx 350 draining battery

How old is the battery? If the car is not used, it is recommended that you put a battery tender to freshen it up. Batteries die early if not charged regularly.

the battery was 2 years old, so I replaced it under warranty, I think it has been draining the battery for awhile, but not enough to keep it from starting as long as we drove it every couple of days, and the battery was healthy, but when the battery failed it was dead over night. I have a corvette that drains the battery in 2 weeks, so if weather is bad or snowy I put a tender on it. .

Start with usual suspects, like bulbs... Ie. one of the three in the trunk/cargo area... easy to miss that, whether you have the cargo cover or not!
I had one that was finicky and would stay on sometimes. I ended up pulling the bulb in favor of one bright one of the whole trunk in the tailgate.

You might want to check your alternator charging current. It may be your alternator. Good luck.
