A lot of people incl myself don’t want to buy aftermarket speaker brackets because:


1. They can be expensive
2. A lot of them are flimsy
3. They don’t always have a perfect fit (mounting holes + position of speaker)
4. You usually have to drill a hole in them to run the wiring


There are a few tricks to getting aftermarket speakers into the OEM speaker brackets, which ends up saving you from having to get adapter plugs as well. Certain Lexus models w/ Mark Levinson and Toyota models w/ JBL have these brackets that can be used.


Note: 2001-2007 Highlander and 99-03 RX300 speaker brackets will not fit our rear doors



Front door:



2005-2012 Toyota Avalon (JBL # 86160-AC430): Fits 6.5” speaker in front door



2004-2009 RX, 2003-2009 GX470, 2007-2010 ES (Mark Levinson # 86160-0W560): Fits 6x9 in front door
