Default Torque Convertor failure

I’m the 2nd owner of a 2008 MY 2007 RX 350 Sports Luxury. 267,000kms (That’s KM not miles)
I searched our forums for anything on my problem and never found it … I hope my contribution helps others .
Car, prior to my ownership had full Lexus Service History.
I recently experienced shuddering at certain Speed.
diagnosis is Torque converter failure.
3 weeks and $2,388 later my transmission is repaired.
PS: we are an International Forum. I’m in Australia and this repair cost is in Australian dollars do the USD - AUD to see what my cost was.
again; saw nothing about this problem on our site

Default Torque converter failure ‘08 RX350

I searched these forums for 7 months looking for any mention of Torque Convertor Failure …
nothing.
my RX350 Sports Luxury 2008 with just over 160,000 miles had this failure. $2,200 AUD and 4 weeks later I’m back on the road …
I don’t think this is a unique occurrence. Let’s make this forum informative rather than “what a great car” chat

What were the symptoms for this transmission issue?

It's both in the way I understand it.

I see you are a new member so Welcome to Club Lexus.

PS- I haven't heard of any torque converter failures so thank you for sharing your info
That makes you a Club Lexus contributor for posting your fix and I'm sure the info will be useful to others! IMO

If you searched for 7 months and found nothing, and I searched quickly here and found only one related thread (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...their-own.html)
, I don't think you're going to find this is a pervasive issue.

I don't regularly do a lot of deep reading in this forum, but seems to be full of threads discussing a lot of informative subjects & troubleshooting without a lot of 'what a great car' chat thread topics.
