The seller is not just selling the resistor, but the idea and his development work (as his ad says that each resistor has the resistance optimized for the specified engine). That my friend is worth the extra money in my book.
Sure, everyone can buy the same resistor for a few cents at any electronic store, but knowing which resistor to buy? PRICELESS. (uh ok so in this case it can be priced.)
Based on the seller's feedbacks I'd say go for it!! Even I myself am going to buy one too and thank you rcnv for sharing this listing.
Edit: I just reviewed his feedbacks more closely in hope to find a positive feedback from an ES300 owner. And yup I found one right there near the top of the feedback list.
It's a feedback from the bidder wisjan which says "Excellent product and highly recommend to all Ebay'ers AAA+++".
Now I'm really gonna try this thing out. Not much to lose anyway.
Edit 2: FYI, on the first page of the feedback list there is a RX300 owner jjb1028 who left a neutral feedback saying "A 25 cent part. Guess your selling the knowledge." and the sellers responded with "We're selling the idea and 20 HP. That's what a lot of people don't understand."
Exactly my point. The product must have worked for that RX300 owner too but it was just that he obviously did not value knowledge.
