2000 RX300 Shifter **** Removal

I've been searching around and cannot seem to find how to do this. Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the shifter **** on a 2000 model? Mine is leather and I have found a nice wood and leather one from a 2002 model and would like to swap them out.

If it's like other Lexus/Toyota push down on the collar thingy just below the leather.

I forget exactly what is involved once that collar is out of the way things reveal themselves.
