I’m about to try to change all the worn suspension parts and bushings on the rear of my 99 RX. With 230k and 2 miles of only fair county dirt road to the highway for 2 years it’s making incredible noises. It would be so helpful to search the forum for DIY suspension help but other than page by page, I don’t know how.
I did have the shocks and struts replaced and the ride is smooth but too Loud to enjoy especially at low speed.
Any help, tips torque specs etc will be appreciated. I’m sure it’s all in the 491 pages but too hard to go through!

One of the sticky thread is dedicated to DIY. It is set up to be an index [DIYs are not supposed to be there] and is jump point to the actual DIYs. Please look through them. The search feature is pretty simple text based search. You can use advance search option and steer [I use it to narrow the scope of the search].

Another thing which I have done in the past is to use DIY description of another activity to help. Example is when I want to take of the air intake, I can look up the DIY for knock sensor replacement [air intake has to be removed to get to the knock sensors].

Lastly the suspension work is lot more intuitive and DIY writeup is not really needed.

As you do the stuff, please contribute to CL and add your procedure(s). It would be nice if Torque specs are added as well as OEM part numbers.

Default Thank you Salim

You are always helpful! I’ll try to document the twists and turn with pictures too.

I lived down a 3 mile packed dirt/gravel road years ago.

They would grade it but after a month it would have the texture of a washboard.
I found driving at 45mph smoothed out the ride for me as the car glided over the bumps but it beat the hell out of my suspension. haha

Probably get 2 years of that everyday and before needing full suspension rebuild.
