Default Fuse for theft deterrent system

No. 12 is the fuse for "Theft deterrent system, Horn" from my 2000 users manual. My question is if I remove this fuse, alarm system will stop working but lock and unlock the doors will still work the same way correct? And, since it says "Horn", does it mean the horn will stop working not only for alarm system but for normal use? I hope removing fuse 12 will not affect horn normal use.

Recently I replaced all four door actuators with the cheap ones bought from ebay. Lock and unlock works solid. My key fob battery is dead and when I insert key in either driver or passenger side and mechanically unlock doors, alarm will go off until I insert key in the ignition, very annoying. I wonder if putting new battery will solve the problem. For now I want to disable the alarm system.

Thank you for any helpful info.

Thank you for the reply. Over the years I lost one key now I have one original key. I super glued the housing cracks so have to force cut it open to replace the battery.

I took the original battery out and measured 3.01V! Been twenty years but I will put a new one in. No load voltage can't tell battery is good, when press the button the voltage will drop but no way to access once put back in.

Perhaps you need to sync the fob for the car again. I remember it is a thing as worked for Toyota for a few years. just cannot remember how it is done but key needs to be in ignition to do it. Others will certainly know what do to.

Finally I put in the new battery and tried it. It works like the first day I bought this car! No sync is needed. Opened the door and started the engine, drove a blocks then back and parked, locked the doors, everything is normal. I don't know why I didn't think of the battery issue which should be the first to try. Actually now I noticed that with the old, original battery, when I press any button, the red LED still flashes but much dimmer than now with new battery.

Thank you Australian for the help.

PS I may have accidentally post this in a wrong thread, and gave thanks to another person.
