I have a 1999 RX300, last week the Airbag light came on. I had our company mechanic take a look. (he is very good and works on lots of Toyota cars and Izuzu short haul trucks). We have a Snap-On analyzer which gave a reading of #16 which was listed as a crash sensor (drivers side). It was replaced without a problem except for one thing. The light and code will not clear he tried 10 times to clear it and it stays lit. we called the tech line and they had no clue why it would not clear.
So I called Lexus and of course they do not diagnose over the phone, plus they told me that unless we have a "Lexus" analyzer it will not work. This Snap-On cost over 20K and it works on my dads big BMW and all the other vehicles. So what gives?
