Hello to everyone
Just wanted to check in and say hello to everyone in this forum. I’ve been a member of ClubLexus for over a year now and have really enjoyed the community. I sold my 98 LS400 last month and purchased a 2000 RX300. The LS sat in the driveway under a cover most of the time and I could not justify keeping it and/or letting it go to waste—sitting around is hard on a vehicle.
I appreciate everyone’s contributions in this forum; which helped with my decision-making process. The vehicle was delivered last week, and I am really impressed with everything about it. I loved my LS, but I like sitting up higher and having the ability to fold the back seats down when needed to haul this and that. I was really surprised at how quiet it is on the road. The road noise on the highway in both our RAV4s is almost deafening—seriously. I’ve had to fix a couple of small things on the RX i.e. front passenger window switch, side marker light repair, etc. Thanks to everyone here and all the available information, I knew exactly what to look for and how to fix these items. Hopefully I can return the favor. My best to everyone!

First gen has the classic look and well sized interior. You will enjoy it. You picked my favorite color too.
Throw in couple of upgrades Aux-in and you would not need much.
Also take care of the seats as age catches up.
Please do take the time to go through the sticky threads. Members have contributed gems in there to benefit other RX owners.

White is surprisingly easy to take care of—our black RAV takes work to stay looking good, that, and it attracts the sun (and heat). The leather is in good shape, but I went ahead and cleaned and conditioned the seats last night with Lexol—cold weather will be here soon and that will help a little. I really appreciate the sticky thread section, what a wealth of information! I'm going through all the old posts as well and putting links in a Word document for posts that I think might be relevant in the future. Thread
