Well, first of all, welcome to the club Stu. Unfortunately, you've posted in a section devoted to the LS430. You missed the RX300 forum by a few models...
I had a 2000 RX300 and mine had standard suspension on it, so no compressor. Actually, I didn't think the RX300 had adjustable suspension???

On a side note, we drove through Dunbartonshire on our way north to Castle Tioram in Doirlinn a few years ago.. Beautiful country up there..

Here in US, as far as I know the first gen were not offered with air-suspension. If your vehicle is near or at the cusp of the year-model, technically you can even be in second gen owner.
Based on your location Europe/Asia/Australia, the only sure place to purchase would be the dealer.
