Default Is there a hood switch/sensor?

Car alarm goes off at 3am this morning and I thought it was one of the neighbors as I have never had any of my car alarms go off in many years. So I check and it's my rx. We had 30mph wind gusts and I thought for sure it was a neighbor who usually sets off during storms and what ever else will shake it, as I have only heard my rx alarm go off a few times when I locked doors with window open then reached inside through window to manually open door before disarming.

So I click unlock button on key to shut off alarm then after a few secs it arms itself again which then just goes off again with another wind gust, it went off 3-4 times before wind settled a bit and then it was fine... I had to get up at 5 anyway but not at 3 and worst was having the neighbors see it was my car

Now I have read that these do not have any alarm sensors that would trigger with wind so the only thing I found was that I had opened the hood yesterday to check all the vitals and upon closing I only pushed lightly down and it did not fully lock so it was only in the auxiliary lock position when I checked as I was leaving this morning, wind could have lifted it enough to trigger a sensor or switch if there is one... I haven't checked yet but I don't remember seeing any electrical type switches around the hood. Just hoping that was it so that I don't have to worry again now with the next windy day or storm...

Just a thought .. it might not be the sensor ...
Does the hood pop up after you have shut it down. In this case the sensor is doing its job and the problem is in the catch mechanism.

The latch works perfectly... I only lightly set down the hood yesterday and it didn't fully lock... So there is a sensor for the hood somewhere... Does it also light up a light on dash like the door ajar?

There is 2 levels of lock on the hood .. first is when you lightly drop it [level 1] and the second is when you push it down [level 2].
For the security part the hood is expected to be fully pushed down [level2] and the key-fob or physical key in the door must be set to lock (arms the security). You can arm it in level1 or level 2. No light is lit up showing a door ajar for the hood [and no warning beeps/chime]. Once armed, if the hood moves up by wind or human power [in level1 or 2], breach is detected and alarm will sound.

Location of the switch .. sorry I never investigated that ever ... unknown to me.
