Alarm keeping going off randomly after suspension repair, plus hood sensor issue
Yesterday I had a local shop replace my front two struts and strut mounts and perform an alignment. That was completed yesterday morning and it sat on their lot without issue until the evening, when I picked it up at 7 PM. When I picked it up and drove it home, there was a dash warning that the hood was open. I figured they just didn't close it properly so when I got home I checked but it was properly and securely shut. I opened it and closed it again and that message went away. However, at about 8:30 PM my car alarm went off while sitting in my driveway locked. I went out, checked, nothing was unusual, so I unlocked the car to turn off the alarm then locked it again. The alarm went off again at 9 PM, so instead of leaving the car locked, I left it unlocked, as my understanding was that the car alarm would only go off while the car was locked. However, the alarm went off again an hour later, then again at 3 AM and 4 AM. When I turn on the car I get no warning lights, no hood sensor issue, so I have absolutely no idea what would be causing this, but I have to believe it's related to the suspension repair since I was having zero issues before that.
I googled around and there are a handful of threads on other sites about 2ISs having issues with alarms going off randomly, but there usually was no solution posted. At least one of those threads also mentioned a hood sensor issue, so I'm not sure if it's related to that.
Does anyone have experience or advice on what could be causing this? Obviously I'll take it back to that shop, but they won't have anyone in until Tuesday given Christmas. In the short term I guess I'll have to disconnect the battery so this doesn't keep happening, but that won't solve the problem long term.
