Default staggered offset for RX300 rims

Iv'e been searching for aftermarket rims for my wife's RX, in 18x7.5 or 18x8. Has anyone heard of staggering the offset to keep the rims tucked inline with the fender wells? So far, I've been told that i will need a 25mm+ offset, I may need to stagger the offset to keep the rims within the fender wells. Any recommendations on rim size, offset? I contacted TireRack, they have limited rims available that will fit, but will not say anything about the offset.....only that the rims will fit perfectly with no problems.

Default Time to show off mine AGAIN!=)

everything u mentioned are correct. Thats why its difficult to find wheels for the RX. Mine isnt staggered, but it does have a good size LIP all around.

Thanks for the info. Do you by any chance have a frontal view to show the fender well and tire line up?

Very old thread but i am thinking fo doing a staggered wheel myself 19 x 8.5 rear with a 40mm offset and spacer on rear and 19 x 7.5 on front no spacer 40mm offset. For tires i am thinking 255/r19/55 all round with a tire load rating of 112 per corner. Possible a 245/r19/55 on front.
I realize i should be aiming for same radius just wondering how crucial this is to get right?

Wondering how much it effects the understeer as the rear tires suddenly will have a whole lot of grip? Wondering also about tyre rotation if i get directional tires will have to demount them mid life.
Wondering if others bought directional tires? or whether you found under steer to deter from repeating idea?
