Where can I buy some of the smoke colored plastic CD trays that the CD's rest in ?

I have the magazine and 5 trays, just need to locate a single replacement tray, not the whole cassette.

I'm not even sure what the official name of the tray is, or if they have a part number so searching for them has been a dead end.

Your dealer parts store should be able to get it for you.

It is not model dependent .. other Lexus models (like GS) of the same years may match up too.

PS: Have you looked at the tray ... if I remember it right the P/N is silk screened on it.

 

Ask in the Used Car Office of your Lexus store, they will likely have the whole cassette.
We have them in a drawer with obsolete Owner's Manuals "Just in case" we are selling
a 15 year old car that came in without those items.

 

Go to your local junkyard (like Pick-N-Pull or Pull-A-Part) and look around for the old Lexuses. I found some CD magazines in some of the cars. (Bonus: I also found some pretty neat CD albums inside them that people left behind.)
