Dome light wont go off - Green ring around key stays on
Hi all..looking for tips and help after scouring the internet and this forum for ideas. Thinking this is a BMC of some sort, but not sure how to isolate it down.
This 99 RX300, with all of the doors closed and the dome light in the door position and the door ajar dash indicator off, the dome light never goes off and kills the battery. In addition, the green trim light around the ignition stays on constantly. To keep the battery from dying I have put the dome light in the off position.
So I do see a BMC of sorts is inside of each door, and I presume some sort of master controller is somewhere else. What I would like to know is, is the dome light triggered by the BCM or a more traditional grounding arrangement with the door latch mechanism (which I think has the circuit for the door ajar for the lighting). It seems to me that with the door ajar on the dash not lighting up but the dome light on, they may be different systems?

There is a driver door ecu, a front passenger door ecu, a body ecu, and a "multiplex communication circuit"
If the illumination does not fade out when all the doors are closed, suspect areas are
