battery issues
Hello, i am a new member and i am having some issues with my 1999 rx300. The open door light on the dash is indicating a door is open but no there is not a door open.This is causing my battery to die, i think. Some pointers on how to fix this problem would be awesome.

Check all five doors. Have another person close the doors & trunk and watch the display to see if the light goes off momentarily (will mean door/hatch needs adjustment).
The door close sensor is built in the locking mechanism.

You have to then tap into connectors and with a ckt diagram figure out which door is giving the problem.
Other than the instrument panel display, what is happening to the courtesy light if set on door. I am assuming it does the same, which mean the door switch is the culprit. If the light functions properly then it could be the ecu [you may like to reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery for 30 min]
