Is there direct "Transmission ECU" with Codes?
Hello all,
My family has a 1999 RX300 that's in the Caribbean, Trinidad, which has the Reverse gear transmission issue and I advised to clean first and possibly swap, finally replace these 2 sensors from LexMex's post, accessible from within the glove box.
However the mechanic, who is said to be a Transmission mechanic, said it's not those 2 sensors and he tested using a scan tool directly to the Transmission ECU?!?
I've never heard of that, is this possible?? I thought all codes, if any, are directly from the OBD2 port.
