Repaired cracked key case....
May have seen some previous posts about the cracked key case and how to obtain just another case without having to shell out $200 or so for a new key.
Step one - get a new battery for your key as you are going to glue it shut in step two.
Step two - buy some "Plumbers Goop" from Home Depot or similar store. This is a good, strong, thick glue.
Step three - glue the key in place and glue the case holder about 1/4 around each side.
Step four - let the glue dry for a good 24 hours or more.
Yeah, a Bubba repair but it works. The glue is a real strong glue. Only have to be more conscious about holding the key at the base when starting the car. This keeps from putting too much torsion on the key at the weaker, glued ares.
Honest, it works!
