Lexus RX300 DVD PLAYER stopped working
Hello,
I have a Lexus RX300 2002 model with about 99k miles in excellent condition. Recently the battery died over night and from the next day onwards the DVD Player stopped working for the first time.
Any one else experienced this problem ?
Please post possible solutions.
Thanks in advance.....
Bobby

Yes, it is the CD player with 6 CD magazine in the glove box.
It is like the electric connection to the CD Player is messed up or something I am guessing......

If you can get the glove box out you can remove the player and send it to Willman's electronics in Garland, Tx for repair. They charge a flat rate of $160:

I've used them before and they did good work.
You could try United Radio in Syracuse, NY also.

Sorry for the delay and thanks for the advice. I am not a car expert, is there an alternative easy way to unplug and plug back the CD player to see if it works. Also are there any other basic things I can do to resolve the problem before sending it over to the repair shops.
TIA

Entertainment system in Lexus has a serial protocol. Before you zero in to the CD, try disconnecting the battery again and reconnect after about 20 mins. This may cure any software gremlin in the serial protocol. If this does not solve the problem then something is wrong with the CD unit.
Lexus connectors are very robust and connector going bad is very unlikely unless some one has been yanking the wires to disconnect.
