UPDATE....

The security system works. Doors locked, light is red... Not flashing but solid red and stays on.

what ended up being the issue. My car wont start and my light doesnt stay on at all. When i try programming the key it wont go into programming mode either.

what key are you using?
is the fob attached to it with the transponder?
