can any one help me with info on my stuck shifter release button problem?it wont let me get it out of park

 

There is an interlock ... the brake must be pressed .. activating a brake switch .. which turns on the brake lights in the rear and also releases the interlock. You can remove the black square piece next to the shift lever and manually override the interlock till you can trace the problem to a bad switch etc.

Instruction are in the owners manual.
