So any opinions so far? Which RX is quieter the RX300 or RX330?
Or is any difference negligible?

I think they're both roughly the same so far. Haven't driven it for too long yet, but the wind noise is dramatically reduced in the 330.

i agree w/ anonymous. wind noise is definitely less in the 330, and i think high speed cruising in 5th gear at speeds of 65mph+ seems quieter as well.

I think the 330 has a better exhaust note that is more pronounced under acceleration.

What about wind buffetting/resonace with the modified rear hatch?

330 owners, try driving 60~70mph and only lower one of the back windows (all other windows fully closed).

yeah, that "throbbing" wind noise is present if only one rear window is open. i'm not sure if that's a factor of the car's design. the old generation RX did it too, and my sister's X5 does it too. it is obviously dependent on air flow and circulation, but i'm not so sure how much it depends on the car's design. if i'm not mistaken, i believe the throbbing also happens on my GS too when only one window is down.

Windshield noise is really bad IMO in the RX'03 compared to a '99, I can't wait to test a 330 for comparison.
