Rx300 p0440 Code
Hello all! Glad to be apart of the club here!
Unfortunately for me, I got a check engine light on...
So I connected my scan tool and found for p0440, Evap system malfunction. Very vague.
I had a friend to do an air/smoke test on my car and did not show any leaks (not even the gas cap!). So we're thinking electrically. I connected a test light to the purge valve (behind the airbox) and I got power, but no ground but I know that ECM will control that. (EDIT: Even after the engine has been running for about 5-10 mins, still nothing. And fuel is at roughly 1/4 tank)
I did test the purge valve and it does click! So thats okay.
So my question is, will the purge valve not even activate due to another reason? Like another valve on the canister or something along that line?
If possible if you guys can help provide a wiring diagram of that so I know where to find the wire on the ECM (And praying it is not the ECM itself!) to see if it is okay.
Any feedback to this very annoying predicament would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
