Need help on total power loss issue
1999 RX300. 209k on the odometer with almost no issues until now.
Here's whats happening:
Driving down the road the transmission suddenly shifts rough a couple times, i've noticed the drive lamp bulb starts pulsing for a few seconds and then the car completely dies. It goes totally dark on the dash. No power. Nothing. I pull over, put it in park and it starts right up and drives off normally.
I thought alternator initially since its the original one, but it cranks over quickly as soon as i restart so its not draining the battery.
I'm thinking the ECU may be overheating.
Anyone experienced this?
