CD changer magazine won't load
Hello!
We bought a 2002 RX300 last weekend. It has a cassette tape deck and a CD player with the changer in the glovebox. When we took delivery, the magazine for the CDs was missing, but our awesome dealer gave us a new one.
But when I load the magazine with discs (label side down as instructed) and put it in the changer in the glove box (arrow side up) it doesn't seem to go all the way in or click or load or anything. If I press the eject button it makes noise so I know the unit has power.
When I google this, I find mostly people who have the opposite problem - the CDs being stuck.
Am I doing something wrong or is it likely the reason it didn't have a magazine was that the unit was broken?

Welcome to ClubLexus.
Have you thought about taking the vehicle back to the dealer and ask them to load cds for you. The last thing you want to do is cause a damage.
Also try loading only 1 disc (keep other empty) and use an original disc (not home burnt).

I just bought a 1999 RX300 with the CD changer in the glove box. Got the car from an individual and I nor they knew how to operate it.
Can anyone point me in a direction. I'll try Suzer's steps above and report back, but, would relish a manufacturers manual, preferably on-line.
