Nav Screen gone blank
Yesterday, for unknown reasons, the map of the Nav Screen in my wifes 2003 RX300 went blank. There was a white background with the cursor blinking, but no roads at all were visible. So today I disconnected the battery, hoping that it would reset itself, but now it's possibly worse. The audio still works, but on the Nav side, the left side buttons dont work at all, and there is a message in the middle of the start-up screen above the "I agree" button that states "Program disk is inserted." This message will not go away. Obviously I haven't inserted anything. The RX has 181K miles on it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey sorry to hear about your Rx it could only be one of 2 things the display could have gone out "dead lcd problem" or the nav unit under where the spare tire was sometimes their is water build up in that area due to clogged roof drains and it might have gotten wet and got destroyed so I would suggest checking the nav unit in the back good luck! !

I dont have a NAV RX, but the display is multifunction type ,,, so a dead display would be easy to detect.

The display is not totally dead Salimshah. Only the map doesnt show any roads at all. The gps signal in top left corner is still showing a connection to the satellites. The audio is fine, all the channels show up once the audio button is pushed. However when "map" is selected, all you hear is a "ding-ding" signifying a bad entry i guess.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I will check the ECU to see if I can detect a problem.
