Default TRD Supercharger for the RX300

You can actually put a TRD supercharger NOT made for RX300 but for a solara and camry into an RX300 but won't pass emissions. I think it pumps out more than 50 hp. Cost will be about $5000 i think though.

I did some research on this.

Both the Solara and the RX300 have a 1MZFE engine. The TRD supercharger will bolt on fine to the engine. Two things to worry about, the VVTi and closing the hood. Speaking to someone both from Carson Toyota and TRD, the VVTi in the RX300 is different from the Solara. My guess is that TRD will need to make an ECU to compensate for the VVTi.

I asked Leo of WeaponR if his chip would solve this issue. He didn't now if it would or not. He recommended that I shouldn't mess with this. Adding Turbos' or Superchargers come with lot's of headaches.

It would be nice for both TRD and WeaponR to work on this together. WeaponR has an ECU that is almost done and TRD has a built supercharger. With little to medium effort, TRD can sell their existing product to a new group of people.

But who knows. If this gets fixed. Will there still be enough room to close the hood with the supercharger on?

The TTE supercharger is around $5K. The TRD is $2K. With a chip to handle VVTi, under $1K.
