Question Mobil 1 ATF for RX300

I am thinking to do transmission flush and fill myself for the 2001 RX300. I know people here are always recommending Mobil 1 ATF. How many bottles of Mobil 1 should I buy?
Many thanks.

No do not buy Mobil 1 ATF it is no longer compatible with T-IV.

Stay on the safe side and buy an ATF that is T-IV compatible such as Castrol Transmax Import Multi-Vehicle.

Hypervish, thanks for your suggestion.

I checked Mobil 1 website. Here is what I found:
http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/...smissions.aspx

Question:
Using Synthetic ATF in a Toyota Transmission
I notice that both Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF and your non-synthetic ATF say they meet Toyota Type T-IV standards. I asked Lexus about switching to synthetic fluid for my 2002 RX 300 and they say absolutely not. It may damage my transmission. Who is right, you or them?

Answer:
ExxonMobil stands behind its automatic transmission fluids, and both Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF and Mobil Multi-Vehicle ATF are suitable for use in Toyota applications where Toyota T-IV type product is recommended. However, the Toyota/Lexus ATF is specifically designed for those vehicles and will provide optimum performance. It is difficult to say whether you would ever feel or see the difference in performance, but the Mobil products will not damage your transmission.

That is an older post from when the synthetic atf was compatible with T-IV applications.

Like I said, it is no longer compatible with T-IV. By which I mean, the applications for the ATF do not state T-IV anymore.

If you want a Mobil ATF to make you feel good, get Mobil 3309. It's actually just Toyota Type-IV.

Yep, that's what I'm using in my RX330.
