Lead Lap
steering wheel squeek
dealer lubricated something behind wheel and noise lessened..
No charge..
I would try wd40 behind the wheel in the area where the wheel pivots.
Cheers,
Fern

I had the same problem -- It was an easy fix for me.
Get a flashlight and follow the steering column down to where it meets the firewall. Surrounding the shaft is a rubber boot that circles the steering shaft.
This boot on my Rx300 was completely dry and sounded like a siamese cat whenever I turned the wheel -- especially on cold mornings. Everyone who entered the car for the first time commented on the sound, and it drove me nuts.
All I did was put a little oil around the boot and the problem was solved.
It worked for me -- hopefully it will work for you. Good luck.

The squeak started again after two weeks and now the effect of lube is completely gone. I need to lube it again or try a different kind of lube which will last longer.
