There is a pdf listing of the OEM parts available for the RX300 99-02 years. FTP to the site and download the rx300-parts.pdf file. It is about 11MB. No logon is needed. ftp://www.pdwalker.com
Seems to be downloading (10MB) via my ftp program - had to remove (blank) the default password and default port # in the Crystal ftp program I use. Could also d/l via the MS browser after right clicking on the Icon and clicking on "Copy to Folder".
That parts list sure is interesting and SCARY reading! I sure hope nothing major goes wrong with mine. I've often wondered how much a car sold as separate pieces would cost, not including labor to build it. My guess is about $200,000 for an RX300.
Some examples of scary prices:
U shaped wood trim in the center console $993
Adjuster motor assembly for driver's seat $1397
HID headlamp bulb $310
CD Changer $2354
Wood steering wheel $2162
NAGS-Tinted heated windshield $1913
(anyone know what "NAGS-Tinted" vs. "Lexus-tinted" is? Also is a heated windshield an option?)
Special note for Daddy-O: Page 1 says "All colors are clear coat". I think you were told that the black doesn't have clear coat right? Did they have black in 2000? Interesting to note that the SC300/400 on the last page, says "1992-1999: All colors are clear coat except Black Onyx . 2000: All colors are clear coat"
I'm getting 'connection refused' responses. Is anyone planning to put the list in a more accessible location ? or could someone who did succeed in downloading it please look up the part numbers for the air con cabin filter and the cartridge/carrier frame that it sits in. - I've just tried to check mine after searching some old posts on the musty smell problem and have discovered that the filter is missing !
The filter p/n is listed in the FAQ sticky of this forum.
I'm looking through the parts list (you can also buy it on eBay for a few bucks). However, I have not found the filter or carrier in the parts sheets yet! The fan housing is there and the removable cover for the opening where the filter carrier slides in is there. Will keep looking.
I talked to the local Toyota agency yesterday and it looks like the cabin filter was not fitted as standard on the 'S' spec Harriers. They were able to find it on their system and have quoted NZ$180 for the filter and carrier - ie about US$90. It has to come in directly from Japan hence the cost.
This is the same RX 300 parts list available on e-bay for $5 to $7.
I bought one moths ago.
This .pdf file is the scans of that parts list. While the info is good,
the quality of the scans is not.
Scanning tip:
Whenever magazines, newspapers and other poor-quality paper originals are used, always place a sheet of black paper behind the original when scanning. You'll greatly reduce the bleed-through from the opposite side of the page. I use black construction paper or just leave the lid up on a copier machine and fire it up. The copy willwill come out black. Keep this black paper in a safe place, you bever know when you may need it.
