not one spot. I expected to find some up under the wheelwells as I had in 2 others but they were clean. Exhuast looked good too.

It makes me think that most steps are prone to rust out but I don't see many rx300's around here equipped with them.

Interesting.... I noticed that your's has a "Hi Low" setting for the seat heaters. Also, the ECT switch only has a "snow" setting, My seat heaters are strictly On-Off and I have a "power" setting on the ECT switch.

Can anyone explain why the differences between the same year vehicles??

Those changes took place in the mid year refresh (2001).

There is a bunch of threads on here explaining every single change that happened.
