Default Telephone Transceiver / Speaker Relay Location

My 99 RX300 stereo has power but no sound. I suspect it is the Pioneer amp behind the back seat.
I do not have any tools or knowledge of how to test this amp. Car is without current sticker so cant drive it to a shop. If I pull out and take the amp to a shop can they test it?

Regardless, before I buy a used one ($150-$200) i thought I would first see if its the speaker relay. How do you get to that little sucker? And is there an identical relay used for other purposes I can use to test?

The service manual shows the speaker relay is located on left side of luggage department.
But its not down under the latch where the amp is. Do i have to remove the one of the two inside panels to get to it?

Thank you!

Before you do anything else make sure that you did not accidentally hit the 'mute' button on the control panel.

I wish it was just the mute button, but verified that already. I think the problem was caused by water in the rear compartment.where the amp is.

If your amp is in fact bad, be glad you have the standard Pioneer version; those amps are readily available, not so the 'premiere' Nakamichi ones.

It appears the relay is behind a panel just after the rear door on the driver side. Anyone ever access this?

The problem was the amp behind the rear seats. I was able to get a working one on ebay for $40. Came out like a bandit on this one. Almost paid $150 to local salvage yard before I found the one on ebay.
