Default Rotating Tires

Hey, how's everyone doing today?

I recently installed General Grabber HTS tires on my RX300. To be completely honest, I've never bothered with rotating tires before. But, I figured what better time to start than the present with new tires.

The manual states to rotate every 7500 miles. Taking the rear tires and criss-crossing them to the front. And taking the fronts and just sliding both tires back on their respective sides.

I wanted to know how many of you actually rotate tires, at what intervals and how do you rotate (i.e. which position do you move the tires into)?

Thanks!

5k which most say is way too often. Front straight back and back criss-crossed to front, unless I have unidirectional tires.

I do front to back once a year when I put my snows on/off. I don't like to spin them in different directions, but not based on anything real. Just my personal weirdness that says once they have been driven one way, they should keep spinning in that direction.

Thanks everyone for the input, it's greatly appreciated!

I think I will start off by rotating every 7500 miles and use the technique the manual states. And, I will monitor tread wear If I notice the tires wearing unevenly (alignment is good though, had it done last year) I will rotate at every 5000 miles as artbuc does.

I have it done, at no cost, every 10K miles.

That's my Mobil 1 oil change interval, so it's easy to remember that way.

All five are rotated, too. Don't want the spare to think I've forgotten about it!

I rotate it every 20k miles. I swap the front driver side with the rear driver side tire and the front passenger side with the rear passenger side tire.
