I still love my RX300 after 6 years! It's worth more to me, then anyone can offer.

I love mine, too - its a Coach Edition in excellent shape, but unlike Hypervish, if I got offered some @incredible@ amount of money for it, I would need to seriously consider what to do.

That said, two years ago I pulled into the Lexus dealership. I parked next to a woman who just returned from test driving a used RX330 or 350, who had recently totaled her RX300. She wanted to know if I was here to trade my car in, because she was interested in buying it - she said that the newer Rx's just don't look as nice as the 300.

Really? Okay. I really liked my 01 300 too, But it just got too dated looking for me. That`s the only reason I traded it.

I hear ya but if you update the exterior lights front and rear, I dont see a dated ride at all anymore. IMO many of the newer rides have exagerated body lines that are not to my liking. For the $$$ you cant beat the first generation.

I completely agree about the lights. When I see an older 1st gen, with the original taillights, I wonder why they don't just upgrade them.

Mine is the Coach, which has the different style grille, and also painted one solid color, not the gray on the bottom.

Maybe that's why the lady liked it?

I have aftermarket LEDs in the rear and aftermarket headlights also. I think they look better than any rx300 stock lights. I do wish the whole car was painted one single color tho.

That can easily be done @ any reputable body shop.
