Question Low Idle

Very low idle sometimes at startup and when in drive feels like going to stall not all the time though. Mechanic says it is a possible transmission sensor issue can this be possible. Any comments please.

Clean the IACV. Of course clean the throttle body as well. I suggest cleaning the MAF sensor as well, as it will make an improvement in performance if it hasn't been cleaned in the past 2 years.

There is a DIY on here for all of the above, start with the IACV as that is likely the issue.

See, Hyper knows more about your car than your mechanic does. Follow his GOOD advice. And it was free, bet your mechanic ish't that cheap.

I learn from the best. I bet his mechanic didn't have as good a teacher as the community here on CL. Someone needs to sign him up.

If you crank your car and it doesnt fire up to at least 1500 rpm and go down, its possible you got low compression. But do basics first then check compression
