IACV cleaning?
I feel I need to clean this because I am at 500 RPM at idle. Its on the left side of the manifold correct? What should I clean it with. Could someone point me in the direction of a tutorial? Thanks.
Low RPM's could also be a vacuum hose that disconnected or broke, or the Exhaust Gas Recirculation modulator.
The IACV on my SC400 is in front of the manifold, the Throttle Position Sensor, (TPS) is to the left. I made a tutorial on how to clean the IACV on an SC400, but it's not helpful because I didn't say everything that is needed to complete the procedure. (don't ask me why!)
I could give you the link if you like, though you could search for it on YouTube.
Good Luck

Only clean MAF with MAF cleaner if your car is 1995 or higher. (Hot wire type I think) Karmen Vortex AFM's use mirrors and LED to detect airflow. regular MAF cleaners would harm them.
