So basically I cant pass emissions becuase the car won't go into ready mode for o2 and evap. I read that a precondition for the system to report ready, the CEL must be off. The abs and p0500 comes on instantly when I start driving. I will try all the methods here and report back. Thanks.

My car may throw the P0500 if I drive through deep puddles or lots of snow. I probably have a marginal ABS wheel speed sensor that gets fouled under those conditions. Once I clear the ABS code and the DTC I'm good. Hasn't recurred in months. Just clearing the DTC alone won't do it, it will come back instantly when you start driving.
