DVD Headrest Wiring HELP
Hi Guys,
I just put in two dvd headests in the car.. they look great. Small issue.. I thought I would get better instructions, like where to splice into for the 12v and the switched power. I saw a write up on a 400, but the harness is different under the seats, and I have no wiring diagram.
Has anyone done this before? And Knows the best location for hookup? Or does anyone have a good wiring diagram
Your help appreciated. I am new on this forum. I have a 2003 RX300

There is a couple ways to get switch 12v
You can find switch 12 volts underneath the seat because the seats are powered. ( which i don't recommend ).
I would rather underneath the dash ( the harness coming down from the steering column ) and grab 12volts there. That wire will be much more reliable.
It'll be a big of work to run wires but trust me. Its the best way to go!

if you splice into the cigg. lighter then when you plug something into the cigg. lighter while your headrest is on you will pop a fuse. It will be drawing too much current then what it is suppose to through that circuit. It is best to get a true switch 12v and fuse it with the proper amp rating. I assume the headrest harness already has a fuse inline with the harness.
