Default Windshield Replacement costs?

I searched the forums and couldn't find any previous info, so here's the question:

If you've replaced your windshield, how much did it cost and was it OEM or aftermarket/from whom?

Thanks,
TC

Let me guess:

You got angry and threw an all Black Lexus RX 300 1/24 Scale Die Cast model (with silver crossbars) through the windshield?

For anyone else looking for this info, I called two Lexus dealers in the NYC area and the quote is about $900 for parts and labor.

http://www.auto--glass.com

I don't know what type of glass these folks
use, but their wizard app provided me this:

Below is your quote on a windshield for a
2002 LEXUS RX 300 4D
Prices reflect this months 15% discount when you order online.
Install Price:

Includes molding if needed $332.15
Non-Install Price: $207.40

I'd have to drive 60 miles to get this install. No problem there.

Well, I just got off the phone with my insurance company and they confirmed I have full glass coverage... won't cost me a dime and I can take it anywhere I want.

I'm hestant to take it to anywhere that wouldn't use a genuine Lexus windshield... the thickness of the glass has a direct relationship to the cabin noise at highway speeds. Plus let me tell you... it looks like someone purposely smacked my windshield at least twice to make the damage... and the cracks still didn't penetrate to the inside of windshield. I definitely want glass like this in my vehicle.
