RX 2002 nav system

RX 2002 nav system
I am a new member here and am having a problem with updating my
nav system..I ordered the gen2-3 dvd for the latest maps..got
it today and my system informs me it is the wrong dvd...after checking
the module the the dvd goes into, I see it has a manufacture date of
2005. I checked the numbers and found that it was for the 2005 RX
series..I am wondering if a gen 4 dvd will work in my system..after
spending 200 for the nonrefundable dvd..I hesitate to order another..
Any ideas?
