Default New wheels are in...

They have Yokohama Avid Envigor 235/55/18s mounted. Tomorrow it gets a seats out detail, new headlights, these wheels and painted calipers (yellow).

I made the decision to keep this car for several more years so I thought a mid life major fluff with some new stuff was in order for this great car.

Pictures to follow!

Wow.. Yokohama Avid Envigor 235/55/18s, they look nice, blows away my Komho Solus 225x70x16 any day. Looking forward to see the picture of them on the car.

I had Kumho Solus on my last car, (Lincoln TownCar) and those are great tires but I got the Yokes as replacement tires on this RX about a year ago and they are the best rain tires I've ever been on.

We don't have much snow but rain performance is important around here.

Just my 2c:

I always end up comparing a worn tire to a new tire and surprise surprise the new tire always feels better.

I envy the people who have the option of testing new tires vs another set of new tires.

You want a nice set of Yokes with 5k on them? I'll sell you all five factory wheels and the Yokes (spare is not a Yoke) for 200 bucks, fellow Texan deal! Three hour drive to Dallas and they are yours.

I got them from OE Wheels in Florida. They are an exact duplicate of the optional chrome wheels that were introduced on the RX330 in, I think, '04. I've only seen a few in the wild but always really liked them.

^^ To my knowledge they were never offered in chrome on the RX330/350. They are always silver.

As you said though, they are replica's, as such its easy to re-manufacture a 'new' wheel instead of re-plating an OEM one.

PLEASE, don't paint the calipers yellow... it's gonna look ridiculous. Black/silver is best IMO.
