Default Lexus RX300 remote

My 2000 Lexus RX300 remote won't lock or unlock the driver's side, but the key will. Changing the battery in the remote did not help. I don't feel it is worth any expensive repair and if it is an easy fix, I would prefer to do the work myself. I am an experienced mechanic with aircraft, with an A&P license.

If it is only one door that does not respond to the remote, you can eliminate the sender (remote) as the problem.

The other test would be electronic lock switch. If that also fails to lock or unlock a particular door then the electronic remote sensor can be eliminated too.

Do a search on "door lock actuator".

I posted on the other thread you created as well.
The door lock actuator is located inside of the door panel. There's a DIY for removing the door panel on here. The door lock actuator is at the bottom left side of the door, it's integrated with the part that holds the door shut (the door jam). You may want to try the "piggyback" method it's the cheapest.
