Default VSC and CEl are on.

my 2003 rx300's cel and vsc lights are on. i googled it and checked on the forum and people say its the hose that connects to the air box, is that correct? i checked the airbox hose but couldn't see anything but nohting looked disconnected. i pulled the battery and the lights went off but i'm not sure if it'll come back tomorrow. any ideas on what else it could be?

Any guess will be a wild guess. You need to have the code(s) read by an OBDII scanner {some auto shops do it complimentary ... like Autozone**. You can at times reset the code by disconnecting the battery, and if the problem persists it becomes a pending code for OBDII and graduates to error code if happens more than a few times.

You can google the P codes or post them here.

The fill up and tighten gas cap "ONLY ONE CLICK" worked for me. Lights were on and off for a month before that, never bothered to have codes read, as the RX was running fine. So I did the gas cap remedy. Two months and 4,000 miles, lights have not come back on. Often times if you have the codes read, you will be soaked into replacing something that is not needed, just because "The scanner said I had a P0_ _ _ code" If you have tried all the "cheap" fixes, and lights still persist, THEN get the codes read, because you probably do have something more serious wrong.
