The guys a crook. File a claim with Ebay, leave negative feedback and accept the $25 loss. Ebay can get quite dirty sometimes. I do not know of anyone who has not gotten burned before. I was sweating bullets once when I sent a cashiers check for $2500 for a set of speakers to someone I didn't know. Luckily he made good on the offer and even sent extra stuff later on. A rarity indeed and a risk I would never take again.
DAMN!! So sorry to hear that. Thats what in this internet age, i still reframe myself from buying on the web.
Hope u get the guy to pay back though.

That looks like possible shipping damage to me; certainly that didn't happen from a musical signal. The surround on both of the speakers is torn as well as the cones being ripped all to schit. What did the box look like that they came in?? Were they properly packed??
I sympathize, spinteews. Hope you can get your cash back.

Yikes! Good luck getting things resolved spinteews. I've bought a couple things off ebay and always feared something like that would happen - or that I wouldn't get the stuff at all.
Can you file a claim with UPS too? Go from all angles
The seller not responding isn't helping his case any either

Spinteews,
Sorry to hear about the damages. I agree that the damages were most likely occurred during shipping, when UPS was practicing on their "circus" act and start throwing, slamming packages everywhere. That's one reason why I always insist on Fedex Ground, much much better, and prices are very competitive.
You can start filing damage claims with UPS, altough I doubt they will finally reimburse you at all. Call UPS, and start filing for the damage insurance. I don't know if the seller had purchased extra insurance, 'cause I believe the standard insurance coverage by UPS is only $100. They will pick up the package, and begin the so-called investigations. Then they will notify you in a few weeks of their decision. In my own terrible experience with them, they might conclude that the original packaging was insufficient to support the items. In that case, they are basically denying responsibility, since the packaging materials were not enough. Even if they finalize and accept responsibility, the seller/shipper has to provide receipts and proofs of purchase that has prices listed for the items.
It's good that you've initiated filing complaints with Paypal. If the seller has a Bank account associated with his/her paypal account, Paypal will hold funds twice the amount of your transaction, begin investigations, and will not remove the funds hold until problem resolved.
If you purchased via Ebay, you should also file complaints with ebay.
Honestly, try to find alternatives, it won't be easy to get your money back. Good luck!
