Default Red Hot

hahah alrite alrite... I got my red caliper paint in couple of days ago and decided after school today to paint them. Was gonna do it saturday but i got horney

Well, currently right now its in my friends house sitting to dry. So i'll have the final pics of how it looks tomorrow or sunday. I hope it comes out great and so far it looks pretty decent. Dunno, i think i could had done better but i was already late for work hehe, have to paint my calipers first

It wasn't so hard but just trying to take the wheels off was trouble some. and the paint dies in like 4-5 hours so you dont have much time to work. we lifted the front part of the car first and it was simple, took off both front wheels, spary the cleaner and then paint it. Once we were done, we put wheels back on slowly so it does not touch the still kinda wet paint. i let it dry for a bit then put the wheel back on. then we did the back. The back took some time since my friends garage was a bit slanted we tried couple of times so we ended up having to left the rear left and right side up seperatly.

took a while longer to do this but at the end it worked out fine. Its still drying and i have some pictures, but not a whole lot since hands were dirty and didn't want to turn my digi cam red

but yea, o btw NICK, dont move this over to suspension or engine thread YET, you can later but let me post the final pics first cuz lots of people dont look there. i'll post pics in the gallery also when i'm done. enjoy

this is the red paint for my calipers, brush on

I suppose genearch moved the thread

I know some people think it looks rice to paint stock calipers red, but I think it looks alright - better than stock dirty calipers. I'm ready to see how it looks with the wheel on.

Mike, Looks OK... I mean you should have tried to paint the whole caliper.... I can see the back-end and you didn't paint it... Did you also put a clear-coat on it, so it lasts??

Spinteews,
I like the red. Really sets your RX off with the silver. I may have to reconsider the silver that I used on mine. Now where did I put that brush…

i know i know, i was kinda in a rush, so i would had done a way better job then what i have now... but its all good..., mabbie buy more paint and recoat it... but it was a b!tch lifting the car up, removing wheel and everything...

as for the protective coating... i dunno, it was just the paint and a reactor to mix in and its suppose to work great... we'll see
