Default Won't Keep Idle When Cold

I cleaned out the IVAC control like Lexmex suggested along with the three way valve following his DIY.
What is happening is I have to press lightly on the pedal for the engine to keep idle for a minute or two. Then I feel something pull on the pedal and from that point on the engine keeps idle. I know there is a valve that will push out to pull on the throttle wire to keep the idle up. I think this is the problem.
Anyone have a similar experience and solution??

Lately I have the same problem, IACV is clean. I found the valve is easily get stuck where it should be rotating freely to allow small but important air passage into the intake manifold. Hate to replace the IACV when we spent time clean them.

Once she gets a little warm and idles on her own I'd say about 1200 till she warms up completely then it drops to just below 1000.
I think these numbers are normal (pretty much what I remember for the history of this rx; I am the original owner).
The only problem is she won't start without pressing down on the accelerator and holding my foot keeping the idle for a few minutes.
Then all is normal.
I was thinking of actually opening up the IAVC and doing a hardcore cleaning as described on this forum. So far I have only sprayed out the hole on the right throttle body opening as Lexmex described. Didn't see and dirt come out. The fluid was pretty clean.

1000 in park and 750 in drive is about normal, but I actually dip under 750 with mine in drive, not that I mind because is stays quieter. It sounds exactly what TunedRX300 is describing as I have had that on occasion where it goes crazy and then after awhile it miraculously calms down, but as a result of the the little flap in the IACV being stuck. Wouldn't heard to do a thorough cleaning.
